The driver of a car that collided with a tractor trailer was pronounced dead and the car’s passenger was seriously injured Wednesday on Darnestown Road by Cattail Lane in Poolesville.
The male driver of a 2016 Ford Fusion was trapped upon impact during the 11:30 a.m. crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Montgomery County police.
The driver of the red and black Kenworth tractor trailer declined to be transported to the hospital, according to David Pazos, assistant chief with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
