The driver killed in the one-car crash was identified by Montgomery County Police as Steven Alejandro Bruno Gonzalez, 21, of Gaithersburg.
According to police, he apparently lost control of the car after coming out of a curve and struck a tree.

A 21-year-old male driver crashed into a tree Tuesday at 7 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Montgomery County Police.
The driver of a Toyota Corolla was involved in a single-vehicle collision in the 200 block of Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg. He was the only person in the car.
