Early Voting for Primary Election Begins Thursday

Montgomery County voters can cast their ballots for the July 19 Gubernatorial primary election at 14 early voting centers starting July 7 through July 14. The hours of operation for each early voting center is 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Any registered voter may cast a ballot at any one of the early voting centers. Bus service is available to all the centers, both through the county Ride On bus service and Metrobus.

Montgomery County residents who are eligible but not yet registered to vote may do so at any early voting center in the county. The voting center will require proof of Montgomery County residency to register someone to vote. Examples of documents that meet this requirement include MVA-issued license, MVA-issued ID card, MVA-issued change of address card, paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or other government documents with name and address.

Where to Vote Early in Montgomery County

Early voting is available at the following locations with bus routes that serve the center noted:

  • Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 S. Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, 20877 (Bus route 59)
  • Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center, 14625 Bauer Drive, Rockville, 20853 (Bus route 48)
  • Damascus Community Recreation Center, 25520 Oak Drive, Damascus, 20872 (Bus route 90)
  • Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, 20850 (Bus routes 44, 46, 47, 54, 56)
  • Germantown Recreation Center, 18905 Kingsview Road, Germantown, 20874 (Bus route 98)
  • Jane E. Lawton Community Recreation Center, 4301 Willow Lane, Chevy Chase, 20815 (Bus route 34)
  • Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center, 14906 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, 20866 (Metrobus routes Z6 and Z7)
  • Mid-County Community Recreation Center, 2004 Queensguard Road, Silver Spring, 20906 (Bus routes 26, 39, 49)
  • Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center, 13850 Travilah Road, Rockville, 20850 (Bus route 301)

Voters who requested a mail-in ballot and decide to vote in person during early voting or on July 19 will vote a provisional ballot.
