Como lo ha hecho durante tantos desastres naturales, el chef José Andrés, residente de Bethesda, ha llevado a su personal y voluntarios de World Central Kitchen para alimentar a los ucranianos, tanto a los que permanecen en ese país como a los que huyen a los países fronterizos cercanos por seguridad.
World Center Kitchen continúa cocinando miles de comidas con pollo, estofado, arroz, sopa, pasta, pan y pastel de manzana para alimentar a tantos ucranianos como sea posible. La organización tiene estaciones en Polonia y Rumania, muy cerca de la frontera con Ucrania y planea expandirse a otros países. Ha estado alimentando a las personas que huyen de las bombas y los disparos de los rusos, así como a los que se quedan para luchar.

As snow fell in Medyka today, the WCK team served 4,000 hot meals over 18 hours.
