County Executive Marc Elrich announced he tested positive for COVID-19 Tuesday morning.
He posted that he was “feeling okay” and was able to speak and answer questions during an hour-long news briefing concerning his proposed six-year capital improvements budget.
He began the meeting, “I’ve got COVID. I am a little under the weather right now.” He added he wasn’t going to speak as long as he had planned due to the virus.
This is at least his second round with COVID. In January of 2022, he also tested positive.
At that time, he announced, “I have mild symptoms, just feeling tired, and I am grateful to be vaccinated and boosted. I will be isolating but will continue to work from home.”
I tested positive for COVID-19 this morning. Feeling okay but a reminder: the virus is still here. Let's not forget to test regularly, especially with cases on the rise. Protect yourself & others.
