County Executive Marc Elrich is holding community discussions spread throughout the county’s regions to get input on capital improvements and long-term projects.
This feedback will help the county build various facilities, such as schools, libraries and recreation centers.
All meetings will take place from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
The schedule for these discussions is as follows:
- Wednesday, April 12 – Eastern Montgomery County Region (White Oak Community Recreation Center)
- Monday, April 17 – Silver Spring Region (Silver Spring Civic Building – Spring Room)
- Wednesday, April 19 – Bethesda Chevy Chase Regional Services (East West Room)
- Monday, April 24 – Sidney Kramer UpCounty Regional Services (Suite 1000)
- Wednesday, April 26 – Mid-County Region (Wheaton Community Recreation Center)
- Monday, May 1 – Virtual (via Microsoft Teams)
The virtual discussion on May 1 will include the main discussion and four breakout sessions on specific areas of government services. Find more information and the links to join the breakout sessions online.

The forums will be televised live on the County cable station County Cable Montgomery, which can be seen on Comcast (Channel 6 and High-Definition Channel 996), RCN (Channel 6 and HD 1056) and Verizon (Channel 30). The forum also will be available on cable channels Takoma Park City TV (Channel 13), Montgomery Municipal (Channel 16, 997 Comcast), Corona Montgomery (Channel 10), and Montgomery Community Media (Channel 21).
