County residents can register for most fall programs and activities starting Monday, Aug. 12, at 6:30 a.m. Registration for Bone Builders, Day Trippers, and Senior Outdoor Adventures in Recreation (SOAR) begins at 9 a.m. New this fall, registration for aquatic programs and activities begins a day later, on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 a.m.
Non-county residents can register for programs and activities starting Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 a.m.
The county provides financial assistance to eligible residents. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found online at Rec Assist. County residents who meet program requirements can receive $400 per family member to supplement program costs.
Fall Programs and Activities
A wide variety of classes and programs designed to help participants stay active and have fun is available. Offerings include aquatics, fitness, sports, visual and performing arts, therapeutic recreation, adult 55+ programming, and more.
A digital version of the fall guide of programs and activities will be available online starting Friday, Aug. 2. A feature on the county recreation website allows residents to build their own guide by choosing types and locations of programs and specifying ages.
How to Register
A new waitlist feature starts Monday, Aug. 12. Participants can join the waitlist for select full activities. When a space opens, participants will receive an email and have 48 hours to accept or reject the enrollment offer. If they do not respond in time or decline the offer, they will be removed from the waitlist.

In-person registration starts Monday, Aug. 12, at 6:30 a.m. at the administrative offices in Wheaton, located at 2425 Reedie Drive. On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the office will open at 6:30 a.m. for in-person registration support.
In-person registration assistance is also available at all recreation facilities during regular business hours
