An accident just after noon on Monday left one passenger dead and sent the two drivers to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
The collision occurred in the intersection of southbound Columbia Pike and Blackburn Road.
According to a report from Montgomery County Police, a white Ford Escape and a black Toyota Corolla collided. District 3 officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded.
The Collision Division Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the fatality. More information and the identity of the deceased will be made available following notification of next of kin.
