Female Students Invited to Explore Non-Traditional Careers at Free Virtual Event

The Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery Women will hold a free virtual career guidance session on Thursday, Nov. 21. The event, scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m., is open to female students in middle school, high school, and college. It will be hosted on Zoom, and pre-registration is required.

Montgomery Women, a nonpartisan organization focused on advancing women in leadership across the county, co-hosts this event. The session encourages young women to explore careers that are less traditional for females, offering insights and guidance from experienced professionals.

A panel of women professionals will share their journeys in fields including fire services, STEM, law enforcement, and entrepreneurship. MCPS students who complete a brief survey after the event will earn up to two Student Service-Learning Hours.

To join, students must register with a non-MCPS email address, here.
