Charles Bailey, the division chief nominated to lead the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), says he has a long-term vision for the department which he shared Monday with MCM.
The county council is expected to vote on Bailey’s appointment in coming weeks. He was nominated by County Executive Marc Elrich. The job was vacated after former MCFRS Chief Scott Goldstein retired from the position this summer. John Kinsley has been serving as interim fire chief.
