A fire to the exterior of a home in Wheaton was caused by discarded fireworks, according to Pete Piringer, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS).
There was no damage inside the home on Medway Street near Claridge Road. No one was injured, he reported on social media. It occurred at about 1 a.m. Friday.
