2. Helping Pets: The Montgomery County Humane Society reminds residents who to contact if they find a stray animal or their pet is lost.

3. Clean Water Art Contest: The Department of Environmental Protection’s annual art contest is accepting entries. Create a design that educates the connection between litter and pollution that flows through storm drains and ends up in streams, rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. Al entries must be received by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 30.

4. Make Room for Pedestrians and Cyclists: Portions of Sligo Creek Parkway, Beach Drive, and Little Falls Parkway will be closed to vehicles from today at 9 a.m. to Sunday at 6 p.m.
5. Hey Students #4: Hallie Wells Middle School teacher Michael Doggett sponsors the Hip Hop program at the Clarksburg school. Since March 22, he has been creating a weekly rap video titled “Hey Students.” Check out the fourth video below (second video below).
