1.PG County Dept. of Corrections Recruitment Event: WorkSource Montgomery is hosting a recruitment event at 11002 Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton today from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Prince George’s County Department of Corrections will be at the event looking for candidates that can be hired as correctional officers. 2. Community Blood Drive: The City of Gaithersburg is hosting a community blood drive today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. Sign up to give blood here.

3. AMP by Strathmore Fall Concert Series: Tonight at 7 p.m. people can attend the “Arts & Brain Series: How the Arts Impact Aging & Vitality” at the AMP by Strathmore, located at 11810 Grand Park Avenue in North Bethesda. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased online.
4. Nancy Floreen To Be Honored at Twinbrook Library: Nancy Floreen, a former Montgomery County Councilmember and a County Executive candidate, will be honored tonight at 7:30 p.m. by Montgomery County Business and Professional Women. Floreen is winning the 2019 Woman of Achievement Award and Tonia Bui will receive the 2019 Rising Star award. The event is free and will take place at the Twinbrook Library’s lower level meeting room in Rockville. Here’s an invitation to submit an RSVP.
5. Interested in a job in film or television?: Doc in Progress is hosting a panel discussion tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. about how to get hired in the film and television industry.
