1. Planning Meeting: The Planning Board’s day starts with an agritourism study tour in the Agricultural Reserve. After the tour they meet at 3 p.m. at their Silver Spring headquarters. Their agenda may be found, here.
2. Council Committee Work: The Health and Human Services and Government Operations committees meet together to review the community grants process at 9:30 a.m. Then at 2 p.m., the Government Operations committee receives a briefing from the Office of Legislative Oversight on performance measures for the MC311 operation, followed by a review of the County’s public election fund.
3. Asian American Business Summit and Expo: Today is the tenth annual Asian American Business Summit and Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building. This is an opportunity for businesses to connect with the Asian Business Community, meet buyers and decision makers, and learn about opportunities in government procurement. 4. Homework Help: Skilled volunteers are available to help students with their homework on a drop-in basis at the Kensington Park Library from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
