1. Inauguration Day: It’s Inauguration Day, and President-Elect Joe Biden will officially begin his presidency today. A group of county police officers will be assisting the Metropolitan Police Department, which the force has done since the 2001 Inauguration.
2. COVID-19 Testing: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at seven testing sites today. Click here to view the schedule of clinics.

3. Senior Planet Montgomery: Senior Planet Montgomery continues to offer free Zoom classes to senior residents. Today’s classes include “Google Photos” and “Fit Fusion Workout.”
4. Partial Trail Closure: A section of the Matthew Henson Trail, at Turkey Branch Parkway and Grenoble Drive, will be closed through Spring 2021 as crews repair a culvert. An ADA-compliant detour will be in place for trail users.
Look for a detour on Matthew Henson Trail near Grenoble Drive and Turkey Branch Parkway.
The detour will be for the duration of the Montgomery County Department of Transportation culvert repair project in the area.

5. COVID-19 Vaccine Survey: Montgomery County launched an online survey for residents to better understand concerns about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. The survey is online and open through Feb. 4. Respondents may remain anonymous and the survey is available in seven languages.
