1. Car-Free Streets: Montgomery Parks is expanding its open streets initiative on weekends amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Sections of Sligo Creek Parkway and Beach Drive will be closed to vehicles and open to pedestrians, bicyclists, and other park users beginning today at 9:00 a.m. through Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Click here for more information.

2. Free COVID-19 Testing: Montgomery County offers free coronavirus testing at nine clinics today. Check here for a list of times and locations.
3. Voter Information: Early voting starts on Monday, Oct. 26. There will be 11 early voting locations available throughout the county from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. until Nov. 2. There is also a tool available that voters can use to gauge line wait times. Click here for more details from the Montgomery County Board of Elections.

4. COVID-19 Community Data: You can learn the number of COVID-19 cases in your community by checking your zip code on the Montgomery County COVID-19 Information Portal. The data is updated daily, according to county officials.

New Parking Rates Starting Soon: New parking rates at Montgomery County-operated garages, parking lots, and street meters in downtown Silver Spring will go into effect beginning on Monday, Nov. 2, and will be implemented in stages over the course of the month, according to officials.
