President Joe Biden has ordered the United States flag flown at half-staff following Tuesday’s school shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The Maryland flag is lowered to half-staff as no flag may fly higher than the United States flag.
This is to pay respect to the victims of Tuesday’s shooting that left 21 dead. Nineteen of the victims were children and local and state leaders are speaking out about the shooting.
The flags will be raised back to full staff at sunset on Saturday, May 28.
