The former Washington Adventist Hospital site in Takoma Park that has been used as an COVID-19 care site will be decommissioned as of April 28, according to a news release from Takoma Park.
Adventist HealthCare was one of five sites throughout Maryland used during the pandemic. Since May 2020, there have been more than 4,000 COVID-19 patients treated there.
Admissions ended on Feb. 20 and current patients have been continually discharged since then.
Adventist HealthCare currently is exploring the best use for the campus on Carroll Avenue, according to the release.
Adventist HealthCare’s COVID-19 Alternate Care Site will be decommissioned by April 28.
