Thomas Wayne Anderson, 75, who led the Takoma Park Police Department from 1997 to 2002, died Feb. 1 at his home in Georgia.
Anderson was a retired Army Lt. Colonel and had attended North Georgia Military College. He also was a police chief in West Columbia, South Carolina and had been active in his community in Georgia, where he served on the historical society, airport authority, chamber of commerce and water trail partnership.
