Municipalities across Montgomery County host a number of Fourth of July parades. Check the list for one near you.
Takoma Park: Takoma Park’s parade starts on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Carroll Ave. and Ethan Allen Ave. The parade will be led by Congressman Jamie Raskin. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Democracy in Takoma Park.” The parade route is slightly different from previous years. An updated map can be found here.
Kensington: Kensington’s 28th annual Fourth of July bike parade gets underway Tuesday at 10 a.m. Anyone can participate in the parade by decorating their bike (or anything with wheels) and meeting at St. Paul Park by 9:45 a.m. The parade will be led by the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department. Montgomery Village: Montgomery Village’s Fourth of July festivities begin with a parade at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The parade will feature fire trucks, mascots, floats, music, community groups and classic cars. A free concert and celebration at Apple Ridge Recreation Area will follow the parade. Learn more here.
Kentlands: The Kentlands Citizens Assembly’s Fourth of July parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The celebration will be centered around the Kentlands Clubhouse and Lawn. Food trucks, inflatables and music will also be on site. Learn more here.
