Suburban sprawl increasingly pushes wildlife out of their native habitat. In one Bethesda backyard, the shifting landscape has created a unique haven for foxes and their families.
Foxes have been making their den under the Wernick’s garage for several years now. The Wernick family has an enclosed yard with a fence, so they theorize the foxes feel more comfortable coming out in the open there. Over the years, Wernick has approached companies to relocate the foxes but found most just exterminate them as pests. So, her family has decided to provide them with a safe haven for as long as possible.
