Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is providing free hearing aids and sound amplifiers to eligible Montgomery County residents 60 years and over.
The program is done in partnership with Access HEARS, a nonprofit organization working to help people with hearing loss. Funds for the program come from the American Rescue Act.

Devices will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis according to a Montgomery County press release.
To be eligible to receive a free hearing device, those interested must be at least 60 years old, be a resident of Montgomery County, have mild to moderate hearing loss, and have an annual income below 250 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Proof of age, residence, and income are required.
