The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for Montgomery County and nearby areas.
The warning is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday. Temperatures may drop below 32 degrees, reaching the mid-20s in some areas.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are likely, which can harm or kill vulnerable vegetation.
Freeze conditions can kill crops and sensitive plants. They may also damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Officials urge residents to:
- Cover or bring in outdoor plants.
- Wrap and drain outdoor water pipes.
- Disconnect garden hoses.
- Let indoor faucets drip to prevent frozen pipes.
