Gaithersburg police arrested a man accused of stabbing another man during a fight at a restaurant.
Officers responded to Cancun Mexican Restaurant on East Diamond Avenue at 7:33 p.m. on Dec. 26 for a reported stabbing. Police said a verbal argument between two men escalated into a physical fight. One man pulled out a knife and cut the other’s face.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police identified Jovani Ramos, 31, of Gaithersburg, as the suspect. Officers arrested him and took him to the Montgomery County Detention Center. He remains held without bond.
