The City of Gaithersburg announced tickets for the Winter Lights Festival and Enchanted Evenings go on sale on Oct. 15 at 10 a.m.
Winter Lights Festival
The Winter Lights Festival returns at the Seneca Creek State Park located at 11950 Clopper Road with a 3.5-mile drive featuring over 450 illuminated displays and lit trees from Nov. 29 through Dec. 31, according to the City. The festival will be closed on Dec. 25.
For admission, tickets need to be purchased in advance through the City’s website. One ticket is valid per vehicle, listing the following prices:
- From Monday through Thursday, tickets cost $15.
- From Friday through Sunday, tickets cost $25.
- For Passenger Vehicles of 15 or more people, tickets cost $30.

Enchanted Evenings
There are four Enchanted Evenings events before the Winter Lights Festival and all take place at the Seneca Creek State Park.
S’more Lights
The first event is S’more Lights on Nov. 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees will be able to roast marshmallows and s’mores with family and friends in the woodland setting. There will be more activities, such as live music and selfies with Santa. For more information, click here.

Run Under the Lights
The second event is the Montgomery County Road Runners Club’s (MCRRC) Run Under the Lights on Nov. 23 from 6:15 p.m. The MCRRC said the event is a 5K Run/Walk under the Winter Lights displays. For more information, click here.
MCRRC said the run is sold out and there is a waiting list to register for until Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $42.40 per person and $37.40 for children up to 15. For information about the waitlist, click here.
Sip & Sparkle
The third event is Sip & Sparkle on Nov. 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees will experience a trolley ride, tastings, live music and selfies with Santa. To participate in the event, people must be 21 or older and have a valid ID. For more information about the event, click here.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or onsite if the capacity has not been reached. The last entry is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $35 per person who wants to participate in the tastings and $20 per person who does not want to participate. To purchase tickets starting from Oct. 15, click here.
Walk & Wag
The last event before the Winter Lights Festival is Walk & Wag on Nov. 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees will be able to take their canine friend on a 1-mile stroll or a 3-mile walk and take a pet selfie with Santa. For information about the walk, click here.

There are no rain dates for the Enchanted Evenings.
