Garden of Lights Exhibit Returns for 26th Year Friday

The Garden of Lights exhibit returns to Brookside Gardens on Friday, Nov. 22, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025.

Now in its 26th year, the exhibit is a popular winter tradition in Montgomery County. The walk-through holiday light display features over 1.5 million colorful LED lights shaped into handcrafted flowers, animals, and other nature-inspired art.

This year’s exhibit adds several features, including a lighted archway synchronized to music, jumping pads, and an animated tunnel. Visitors can also enjoy a snow machine and an interactive tap light display near the Children’s Garden, offering a magical experience for all ages.

Hot drinks and light refreshments will be available for purchase. The Brookside Gardens Visitor Center will be open for restrooms and gift shop access.

Garden of Lights is open nightly from 5 to 9 p.m. through Jan. 5, 2025, except on Nov. 25–28, Dec. 24–25, and Jan. 1.

The Garden Railway exhibit is open during the Conservatory’s daytime hours—10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.—from Nov. 30 to Jan. 5. It will be closed Dec. 24–25 and Jan. 1. The Railway is not open during the Garden of Lights exhibit.

Tickets cost $10 per person and must be purchased online. Guests ages 5 and older require a ticket. Same-day tickets are available until 4 p.m. Tickets are nonrefundable but transferable if requested by 4 p.m. on the ticketed date. The event will be held rain or shine.
