A tutor from Germantown has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor, which is a felony, and four fourth degree sex offenses, which are misdemeanors.
The Montgomery County Child Welfare Services and Montgomery County Police began investigating Adi Yousef Najjar, 65, on June 4 after receiving a report of a sexual abuse of minor that allegedly occurred between September 2022 and June 2024.
Najjar was the victim’s Islamic tutor, according to police. He turned himself in on Aug. 27 and was released on an unsecured $10,000 personal bond.
His preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 20.
