A Germantown man became $50,000 richer playing a Maryland Lottery scratch-off game.
The 53-year old recently visited the lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim his winnings. He told lottery officials he and two friends started a social tradition six years ago. The three get together to purchase scratch-offs tickets
Each person buys their own tickets and there is typically no three-way split of any winnings. However, he went on to say, “When one of us wins a hundred dollars, we usually give the other guys a few bucks.”
The Germantown maintenance worker is the 74th top prize winner on the $50,000 Cash scratch-off game. He plans to use his winnings to pay off bills.
