Germantown Resident Competes on Jeopardy!

Spoiler alert: This story contains information about Monday night’s Jeopardy! show.

 

Joyce Yang, a data analyst from Germantown, competed on Jeopardy! in an episode that aired Monday night.

Yang with $10,000 finished in second place to Will Stewart, a political organizer, originally from Nashville won his second straight game with $18,700. Both Yang and Stewart got the Final Jeopardy question correct.

The category was Cinema History and the answer was:

Films made outside the U.S. in the ’50s like “Three Coins in the Fountain” & :Quo Vadis” led to an era dubbed “Hollywood on” this river

The correct question was “What is Tiber?”

Yang, who plays Japanese taiko drums as a hobby, took home $3.000 for finishing in second place.
