A Gaithersburg teenager was arrested Wednesday and charged with first degree assault by the Maryland-National Capital Park Police.
Sam Khojasteh, 19, was arrested in connection with an April 10 incident at South Germantown Recreational Park in Boyds.
According to police, Khojasteh was doing donuts along with other drivers in the parking lot of the soccer complex. When asked to leave by a park staff member, Khojasteh pointed a handgun at the staff member, according to police.
Khojasteh fled the area. Police found the white Audi A5 he was driving and attempted to stop it. The driver sped away, according to police, who did not pursue the driver.
He also was charged with use of a firearm in connection with a crime of violence, reckless endangerment, fleeing police and other traffic violations. He was arrested April 17.
According to court documents, Khojasteh has received multiple traffic citations dating back to at least July of 2022.
