Dinora Aleman Amaya, 30, of Germantown was struck and killed Monday as she was crossing Great Seneca Highway from Kentlands Boulevard toward Orchard Ridge Road.
According to Montgomery County Police, the fatal collision occurred at 9:18 p.m. when the driver of a black 2019 Honda Civic approached Kentlands Road while heading south on Great Seneca Highway and struck Amaya.
The driver remained on the scene.
Gaithersburg City Police and Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue assisted at the scene, where Amaya was pronounced dead.
