Two Our Lady of Good Counsel High School alumni who play for the Kansas City Chiefs are officially Super Bowl LIV champions.
Dorian O’Daniel and Kendall Fuller both graduated from Good Counsel in Olney in 2013. From 2009 to 2013, Good Counsel’s varsity football team won four consecutive WCAC championships.
Fuller, a defensive back for the Chiefs, played for the varsity team all four years at Good Counsel. O’Daniel, a linebacker for the Chiefs, played on the varsity team from his sophomore year through his senior year. In 2012, The Washington Post picked both Fuller and O’Daniel for its All-Met selections.
After graduating high school, they attended different schools: Fuller went to Virginia Tech and O’Daniel played at Clemson. O’Daniel went on to win the College Football Playoff championship in 2016 with Clemson.
Both players were reunited to play for the Chiefs in 2018. O’Daniel had been selected in the third round pick and Fuller was traded by the Washington Redskins to join the Chiefs.
MyMCMedia spoke to Bob Milloy—who was the head football coach at Good Counsel when Fuller and O’Daniel attended—days before the Super Bowl. Milloy was rooting for his former athletes and the Chiefs. He said the last time he spoke to Fuller, Fuller asked Milloy when they would eat at the Continental Deli in Kensington.
“On the way home from the All-Met photos their senior year, we went by and I bought them subs at the Continental Deli and they’re the best and he hadn’t forgotten that. He’s probably a millionaire many times over, but he still wants to go down and get one of those $6 subs from the Continental Deli,” Milloy said.
At the Super Bowl, Fuller helped seal the deal for the Chiefs with an interception in the last minute.
FULLER‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

On Monday, O’Daniel celebrated on Twitter the fact that he is now a part of a very exclusive club having won a football championship at all three levels: high school, college and pro.
“Twitter please help me find the list of players I have now joined in winning a high school, National, and Super Bowl Championship,” O’Daniel tweeted.
