Gov. Wes Moore will attend a closed-door meeting of Democratic governors with President Biden at the White House Wednesday evening.
The meeting comes on the heels of Biden’s poor debate performance – according to many members on both sides of the aisle – on June 27 which raised questions about his fitness to potentially serve four more years.
Other governors expected to attend the meeting include Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, and Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey. Several others plan to attend virtually.
Moore’s Press Secretary Carter Elliott, IV confirmed the governor’s attendance via X repost.
