Montgomery County’s Asian American Health Initiative is now accepting applications for the Healthy Communities Fund grant program.
This initiative, which is part of the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, offers $1.5 million to help Asian American and Pacific Islander organizations provide “linguistically and culturally responsive services” to the county’s diverse community, according to a county press release.
Asian American and Pacific Islander communities make up around 15 percent of Montgomery County’s total population. The grant program aims to help organizations serve these communities.
Applications for funding are due on July 31 and can be accessed here. Organizations can apply for up to $150,000 for Fiscal Year 2024.
An information session about the grant program and how to apply will be held on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Microsoft Teams. Organizations can sign up to attend the session here.
