The UConn Huskies were honored at the White House Friday for winning the 2023 NCAA national men’s basketball championship. Gaithersburg native Jordan Hawkins was one of the key cogs for the Huskies in their dominant run through the NCAA Tournament. During his remarks, President Biden singled Hawkins out for overcoming a case of food poisoning during the Final Four to score 16 points in the national championship game.
