Health Expert: What to Expect From Trump Administration’s Potential Changes to U.S. Health Policy

President Donald Trump’s administration has initiated significant changes to U.S. health policies.

The administration has expressed intentions to modify or repeal sections of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) potentially affecting millions of Americans’ healthcare coverage. Specific changes have yet to be detailed.

MCM talked to Dr. Fabian Sandoval, CEO of Emerson Clinical Research Institute, who explained the potential impact of the possible changes.

Also, a temporary policy requires federal health agencies, including the CDC, FDA, and NIH, to obtain White House approval before releasing public communications. According to the Washington Post, critics argue this could delay the dissemination of vital health information.

Another health impact under Trump’s administration is the new order that all U.S. government staff working on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs be put on immediate paid administrative leave.
