The National Weather Service Issues Flood Watch
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood watch for parts of Montgomery County on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Heavy rain is expected that may cause flooding.
The NWS expects around 1 to 2 inches of rain to fall. Some areas may receive as much as 4 inches of rain.
Creeks and streams will rise slowly during this time frame and may cause flooding in urban areas, possibly Silver Spring, Bethesda, Rockville, and Gaithersburg.
NWS has issued a Flood Watch for Montgomery County on Friday 10/29 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Expect heavy rainfall that may produce flooding within the next 24 hours. #mdwx
