Hirsch Goes for 10 in a Row on Jeopardy!

Spoiler alert: this story contains information and results from Tuesday night’s episode of Jeopardy!

Ashton native and Blake High School alum Isaac Hirsch was attempting to join the 10-win club on Jeopardy! Tuesday night. He trailed early in the game before briefly taking the lead during Double Jeopardy.

Hirsch did not answer Final Jeopardy correctly and lost narrowly. Hirsch ended up with $1300 after betting – and losing – $14,000. Government relations manager from Illinois Jay Fisher, who also answered incorrectly, bet and lost $14,401 ending up with $1799 which was $499 more than Hirsch.

The good news for Hirsch: his time on Jeopardy! is not over. By virtue of winning five in a row, he qualified for the Tournament of Champions.
