On Tuesday, Gov. Larry Hogan ordered the United States flag and the Maryland flag to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Otis L. Isaacs, Jr. of the North East Fire Company, who died in the line of duty Dec. 29, 2019. The flags will be raised to full staff at sunset, Saturday, Jan. 4, the day of interment.

December 29, 2019 at 3:06 PM · It is with deepest regret that we must report the passing of Past Chief / Past President / Past Chief Engineer, Otis Isaacs Jr. We are forever grateful for the knowledge, experience, and dedication that he instilled in each and every single person he encountered. There are no amount of words that could sum up the loss of Otis Jr., and our deepest condolences are with the Isaacs family during this time.
