Westfield Montgomery Mall’s 2nd annual ‘Home for the Holidays Celebration’ takes place Saturday Nov. 18 from 3 to 8 p.m. The event benefits Children’s National Hospital.
The day’s activities include a holiday concert, tree lighting ceremony, and a pop-up wine bar from Windridge Vineyards.
Best-selling authors and internet personalities Penn and Kim Holderness will host the concert and tree lighting ceremony beginning at 4 p.m. Penn and Kim Holderness, best known for winning Season 33 of The Amazing Race, share stories from their marriage and family with music videos, vlogs, skits, and a podcast. Their videos have over a billion views and 4.5 million followers across social media.
At 4 p.m., the entertainment starts with a performance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of DC. followed by the Maryland Youth Ballet with dances from the Nutcracker. Headliner Rockapella takes the stage to complete the concert.
The tree lighting ceremony takes place at 5:30 p.m.
There will be activities and giveaways throughout the mall including:
- Special appearances from Santa, Rudolph, Olaf, Ice Princess, the Washington Nationals’ Abe and Teddy, and Dr. Bear from Children’s National
- Kid’s face painting and balloon artists
- Complimentary hot cocoa and special holiday promotions
- Holiday vignettes and live music
- A Windridge Winery popup at the Jingle Lounge (lower level near Lego)
- A HOT 99.5 station for chances to win tickets to the 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball
Attendees are encouraged to RSVP here with an optional opt in to donate to Children’s National. Westfield Montgomery Mall will match all donations up to $10,000.
