The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) announced the return of its holiday-themed “Flash Lights” buses this December. Five decorated buses will serve riders along the Colesville Road/US 29 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line throughout the month.
The “Flash Lights” contest encourages riders to take a photo of, or with, one of the decorated buses, share it on X, Facebook, or Instagram, and tag @MCDOTNow for a chance to win a $25 gift card. The contest started Monday and runs through Jan. 6, 2025, with weekly winners announced each Monday. Participants agree to grant MCDOT permission to use submitted photos for promotional or other purposes.
