Several residents headed out to Poolesville Thursday now that the time to view the sunflower fields is dwindling.
The favorite annual sunflower viewing spots are along River Road at the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area in Poolesville.
The fields are planted each spring by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
