U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin, who has represented the 8th Congressional District since 2017, coasted to victory in the Democratic primary, receiving 94% of the vote in unofficial results.
In November, Raskin faces Republican Cheryl Riley, who received 69% of the vote in unofficial results. Riley, who is CEO of Cheryl Riley Public Relations, previously ran unsuccessfully for county council in District 4.
As of Wednesday morning, votes from 255 of the 257 precincts and early voting have been counted. Mail in ballots are still being counted.
