
A baby was born on I-270 around 2 a.m. Friday, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.
MCFRS responded to the scene of the birth on southbound I-270 between Route 121 and near Route 27/Ridge Road, Piringer shared on Twitter. The mother and newborn were taken to a hospital.
“Everyone is reportedly doing well,” Piringer wrote.
