Melanie Chadwick, MSN, ANP–BC, GNP–BC is a geriatric nurse practitioner for the Memory Disorders Program at Georgetown University, as well as a sub-investigator in clinical trials of potential new treatments for Alzheimer’s. Melanie also serves as a clinician at Medstar Georgetown Hospital specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of persons with dementia and related disorders. Her informative presentation will cover:
-Current Alzheimer’s research
-Research trial failures of the past
-Healthy aging to stave off cognitive decline
