Roslyn Roberts is Interfaith Work’s new director of faith and community partnerships.
She is responsible for connecting and collaborating with Montgomery County’s faith communities that serve those experiencing poverty and homelessness and also advance social justice causes.
Interfaith Works offers emergency shelter and food and provides preemployment training to those in need.
Roslyn previously served as director of rapid rehousing and youth transitional housing at Housing Up in D.C. She is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Church.
“We are delighted to have Roslyn join us. Fifty years ago, faith organizations created what is now Interfaith Works and remain critical partners in how we serve our neighbors. Roslyn’s unique experience with managing programs for people experiencing homelessness combined with her engagement with diverse faith communities will be invaluable in fulfilling our commitment to embracing the rich tapestry of faiths in Montgomery County,” said Interfaith Works CEO Courtney Hall in a news release.
“I am honored and excited to become a part of the Interfaith Works team and to be able to serve the residents of Montgomery County,” Roberts said. “It is a pleasure to work alongside such gifted people who have the same passion I have for making a difference in the community.”
She has a Master of Divinity from Howard University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bowie State University. According to the news release, she enjoys painting and making flower arrangements.
