Officers responded to Bullis School in Potomac on Tuesday for a reported bomb threat that police believe is related to a threat last Friday at Westfield Montgomery mall.
The threat has been determined as “not valid,” according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). The school was turned back over to school administration.
The school was evacuated as a precaution following the threat.
On Friday, Westfield Montgomery mall in Bethesda was evacuated as police investigated a reported bomb threat. Police determined the threat was not valid. The mall was cleared and turned back over to mall security.
Police believe Tuesday’s call is related to the “swatting” call at the mall on Friday.
According to Bullis School, Tuesday’s threat came from the same party that called in the false threat to the mall.
