Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) is investigating a fatal shooting involving a man in Silver Spring, according to a press release.
On Sept. 14 at approximately 4 p.m., PGPD officers responded to a shooting on the 9200 block of New Hampshire Avenue. They found Carlos Alberto Ortiz, 35, suffering from gunshot wounds. Ortiz was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the release.
Homicide Unit detectives work to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
According to the release, a reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
