The Islamic Center of Maryland (ICM) is hosting a drive-thru food distribution on Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m. for those members of the community in need.
Despite the start of Montgomery County’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, many residents continue to struggle with food insecurity. The ICM is collaborating with the county’s Food Security Task Force and Montgomery County Public Schools to provide for residents in need of groceries.
People attending the food distribution event can drive to the pick-up site and open their trunk for a volunteer to place the food inside. Only one box of food will be given per car.
The Islamic Center of Maryland is located at 19411 Woodfield Road in Gaithersburg.
