Former Rockville resident and Wheaton High School alum Joan Jett is having a busy weekend back in her old stomping grounds.
The singer, known for her hits “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “Bad Reputation,” and “Cherry Bomb,” threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Baltimore Orioles game Friday night at Camden Yards. But her night wasn’t done. Jett was the celebrity splasher for the Orioles’ Bird Bath then joined the TV announce crew in the booth.
On Saturday and Sunday, the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will perform with Alanis Morissette at Merriweather Post Pavillion.
